HVS Events (2009):

January:
• 04th - Puja.
• 25th - Puja and Republic Day Celebration.

February:
• 15th - Shivratri celebration.

March:
• 8th - Holi Puja and celebration.
• 15th - Puja.

April:
• 4th - Ramnavmi celebration and Kanjakein(bring your girls).
• 25th - Mela - Come join us at a Mela on Saturday April 25th (12 Noon)...and come hungry. Start your rounds with some spicy chaat, move on to hot dosas, or several other mouthwatering dishes, and top everything off with desserts or smoothies. Then mingle with your friends, enjoy the music and soon it will be time for a steaming cup of chai and paan! There will be plenty for the kids to do - a big space walk and games with prizes to be won. This year for the first time there will be an Art Booth along with Henna and Face painting artists. In case the weather does not cooperate, Mela will be moved to Sunday the 26th (12 Noon).

May:
• 10th - Mother's day and Graduation celebration. The program will start at 10:30 am sharp. Lunch will be served after Aarti.
• 17th - Bal Vihar Day. Puja will start at 10:30 am. Lunch will be served after Aarti.

June:
• 21st - Shri SatyaNarayan Puja and Father's day celebration. The program will start at 10:00 am. Lunch will be served after Aarti.

August:
• 15th - Ekadashi Group will be sponsoring Krishan Janamashtmi. Pooja will start at 10:00 am sharp. Krishan Janam (birth of Lord Krishna) will take place at noon. After that there will be a little celebration for Independence day. Aarti will be followed by lunch.
• 23rd - Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja at 10:30 a.m. Aarti will be followed by lunch. Everyone is invited.

September:
• 13th - Puja will start at 10:30 a.m. Aarti will be followed by lunch. Everyone is invited.

October:
• 3rd - Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra Durga Puja - Program will start at 5:45 P.M with Gandhi Jayanti celebration, followed by Ravan Dahan and snacks.
• 7th - Karva Chauth - puja will start around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, October 7th.
• 17th - Diwali The 17th annual Diwali celebration will be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2009. Pooja will start at 7:00 PM followed by dinner at 7:30 PM. The cultural program will begin at 8:45 PM. Tickets are available at Fashion India and Bengal Imports. Ticket prices are: $15 for ages 5 years and above. Children under 5 are FREE.

November:

December: 5th - “Naam Bade Aur Darshan Chhote” a Bollywood Music and Quiz Show!! Come and Enjoy an evening of rollicking musical FUN & ENTERTAINMENT!! With a mixture of new songs and old songs, melodious songs and foot-tapping songs, and a brainy-zany Bollywood Quiz at the end, Naam Bade Aur Darshan Chhote promises to be both a breath of fresh air and a trip down memory lane!! Time: 6:00 p.m. Heavy snacks & tea will be provided. Tickets for this event are available at Fashion India and Bengal Imports. The ticket prices are: $5 for ages 5 years and above. Children under 5 are FREE.
